12" x 108" NSF 16 Gauge Stainless Steel Heavy-Duty Solid Wall Shelf

This shelf was thicker (lower gauge) than comparable more expensive options. First time ordering with Webstaurantstore and will not be my last. The shelf was well protected and sturdy. I had read reviews regarding the studs breaking when attaching the legs to the shelf so I was careful not to tighten too much (I used a socket and wrench but just past feeling resistance. Luckily none broke. My use was to get my small electric pressure washer off of the floor and it worked well for that. I used a 3/4" plywood backer due to the 24" width not hitting two studs (apparently this spacing works with commercial). My only complaint was what appears to be a scratch on the front part of the shelf and the sticker which leaves residue. It is possible that the scratch is just residue from the protective wrap but since mine is going to get messed up in the garage it was not worth losing any sleep over. Once mounted, the shelf is sturdy and does not deflect. Looking for a smaller version now so I can put the pressure washer gun / nozzles under it.

This is a great quality shelf but beware that the edges are very sharp, including the edge under the shelf. If you place this above a work surface and your hand slips and hits the shelf it can cause a major cut - one of our team just had to get 5 stitches. The edge should be blunted or bull nosed by the manufacturer. This is a major safety issue for a shelf that is sold for a kitchen environment, probably best as a chemical shelf in a basement.
