Unfortunately, this rack does not meet expectations. The steam pans don’t sit securely—the sides barely support the pans, causing them to tip or fall. It feels unstable and poorly designed for its intended use. Completely unusable for holding standard steam pans.

This is a flimsy pan rack. When we received it we noticed how light and cheap it felt, but we gave it a chance. Oftentimes it seemed like the pans were going to slide right off the ledges as they are not all evenly spaced, but somehow they stayed on there. Unfortunately, we did recently have an incident in which the top pan, full of soup, fell, taking down all of the other pans with it. I do not recommend this rack.

I have mixed feelings - I love the idea of it, and the slim profile - but in practic it's very difficult to get the pans in and out. You can't really slide along the rails - you have to lift them slightly and lower then onto the rails. This also means you need to leave space between the pans so it doesn't hold quite as much. Still useful - but when I saw the price, I decided not to reorder this and opt for another bun rack instead. I'ts more convenient to place the hotel pans on sheet pans & load that way.
