Excellent quality, actually exceeded our expectations for the price. High-quality casters, heavy-duty drain apparatus and an extremely well constructed product.

We purchased this item to use in our food trailer. Pros: - It holds a ton of ice. Ok, not literally a ton, but a lot. We usually start out with about 40 pounds and add to it as needed throughout the event. - We rarely have a lot of loss at the end of our events, and southeast Georgia has been H-O-T this summer. There will be some water accumulation at the bottom of the chest at the end of the day, but it’s way less than you’d expect. - It’s fairly easy to clean. We wash the lid and wells and then hand wash/rinse/sanitize the bin at the end of the event. - It rolls around pretty smoothly, even on our textured galvanized floors. - It’s an ok height. I’m 5’2” and don’t have to bend very far to scoop ice. My 6’1” husband disagrees. He prefers to work the grill anyway. Cons: - *This is 100% the reason for the 3 star review* The wheels don’t stay on the equipment. If it gets tipped even just a little bit, the wheels fall off and you run the risk of it falling on your foot or denting another piece of equipment. Someone smarter than me could likely find a way to make them work, but fixing this problem has escaped me so far. - It’s very top heavy. I can’t tell you the number of times it has fallen over in transport and damaged other equipment or the door to the trailer. We’ve started laying it down during transport, but then we have to go through the whole wash/rinse/sanitize procedure before we can use it. - The slider covering the opening is very narrow, and it’s hard to access the ice. It isn’t so bad for me because I have small hands, but my husband struggles with his larger hands. It would be better if it slid the from side to side instead of front to back. - The wells for holding cold items are completely useless for that purpose. You could technically make it work if you wanted to fill the thing with 60-70 pounds of ice to get it high enough to come in contact with the wells, but if you don’t, then cold items don’t maintain their temperature. Also, you can’t close the lid with items in the wells. We use them to hold our ice crusher and scoop. - The spigot to open and close the drain is very hard to access. You have to tilt the chest to reach it, which in turn causes the (very heavy) wheels to fall off. We usually tip the water out at the end of the event and replace the wheels. Overall, we’ll continue using this piece of equipment, but I do not recommend it for a food truck. I hope you find this review helpful.
